Ana is board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and a licensed mental health clinician (DipACLM, LMFT), specializing in the integration of evidence-based lifestyle interventions, including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and social connection, into mental health care. Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, her focus is on supporting emotional resilience, anxiety reduction, and long-term well-being.
With a deep clinical background spanning anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, developmental disorders, and stress-related conditions, Ana offers a practical, compassionate, and science-informed approach to care. She is dedicated to translating rigorous Lifestyle Medicine research into accessible, real-world strategies for patients, clinicians, organizations, and communities. Her therapeutic work emphasizes nervous system regulation, whole-person health, and sustainable behavior change.
Ana’s advanced training includes certifications in Nutrition, Wellness, and Lifestyle Medicine from Harvard Medical School, where she trained under Dr. Beth Frates, Dr. Michelle Tollefson, Dr. Jonathan Bonnet, global leaders in the Lifestyle Medicine field. Ana also completed advanced training through Oxford University, as part of the inaugural cohort of its Culinary Psychology program with Dr. Stelios Kiosses, Dr. Beth Frates and renowned chef Neil Redmond. Ana also holds a specialization in developmental discord from UC Davis' Mind institute. She has also trained in the Early Start Denver model (ESDM) is an evidence-based, naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention (NDBI) for children with autism aged 12–60 months. It integrates applied behavior analysis (ABA) with developmental and relationship-based approaches, using play to improve social, cognitive, and language skills in home or clinical settings.
Ana is an active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and the American Psychological Association (APA). She currently serves as a Director at Thrive Behavioral Health & Wellness.
Ana is passionate about helping individuals truly thrive. She offers a range of evidence-based behavior change interventions, including Lifestyle Medicine, CBT, motivational interviewing, and change-focused counseling. This approach empowers patients to build confidence, improve both mental and physical health, and create balanced, meaningful lives.
Outside of her professional life, Ana enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking and gardening. She believes that a life well-lived is rooted in caring for our minds, bodies and others.
