Stefani is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 17 years of extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of communication challenges in children, ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years old. She received her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington.
Stefani is an active member of both the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA), reflecting her deep commitment to professional standards and evidence-based practice.
Her clinical expertise is broad, covering language development, articulation and speech disorders, pragmatic or social language skills, and communication needs related to the autism spectrum. She is highly skilled in working with complex diagnoses, including Apraxia, Down Syndrome, Auditory Processing, Dysfluency, and Language delay.
Stefani holds a particular gift for meeting children where they are, utilizing play, relationship, and naturalistic intervention to unlock communication and connection. She is a certified practitioner of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), having completed her certification through the world-renowned MIND Institute at UC Davis. This enables her to deliver comprehensive, play-based behavioral intervention that targets social, cognitive, and language development for young children with autism in natural, meaningful contexts. Additionally, she has completed specialized training in Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking programs, DIR/Floortime, and the Kaufman treatment approach for Apraxia. Stefani excels in parent training and providing individualized treatment plans for children.
Stefani strives to be a resource for families in the community and provide the support needed to set children up for success. She was the proud recipient of the “Make a Difference” award in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, trying new restaurants, and reading books.
